Need to repair the inside knob etc of sliding door lock .
1. Work with slider in open position. It helps if you are on a slight incline so
that door stays in fully-open position and won't slam shut on your fingers.
2. Remove inner handles and door panel:
a) Inner handle. Remove the
inner handle first. You can't see it too easily but a wire clip about the same
thickness as a large paper clip holds the handle to its shaft. It's shaped like
an upside down "U" so it needs to be pushed straight up. Press the panel outward
around the handle and you can just see the clip. Use a small thin screwdriver to
locate the bottom tips of the clip and push it up. You may have to alternate
from side to side but it will pop off. Grab it with a pair of needlenose pliers
if you have to. The door handle willl now slide off - just pull it towards you.
b) Power window switch. Remove power window button by squeezing hidden tabs
along the sides of the button. Again, you may have to push the panel outward a
little and pry the switch to see the tabs. Wiggle it a little and the button
will release. Pull it out and unplug the wiring harness.
c) Door panel.
There are several plastic buttons which hold the panel on at the bottom and up
the sides. Use a plastic putty knife to get behind panel and pop it out of the
holes.
3. Once all trim fasteners are released, grab the door panel at the
bottom and pull straight up to release it at the top. You may have to give it a
quick upward tug to get it to release. Push the power window button wires
through the mounting hole. Look at the panel buttons to make sure that all of
them came off with the panel. If not, remove the remaining ones from the door
and put them in their respective slots on the door panel. (Trying to re-attach
the panel without the buttons installed on the panel will be frustrating.)
4. Outer handle removal.
a) Unclip the handle lock button / bar by
turning the small tab and pulling the bar out of its slot. Hard to describe here
but you'll figure it out once you see it.
b) Remove three bolts which hold
the handle on the door. Note that one bolt is accessible from the outside of the
door along the front jamb.
Replace handle and reverse the steps above.
Notes: Check the locking mechanism and make sure the door opens and
closes before you reassemble the panel. Remember to orient the inner handle the
right way before you re-attach its spring clip. (I've attached it upside down
and it won't work!!!) . Also, be sure to feed the power window wiring harness
back through the mounting hole before putting the panel back on.

i have a copy, but its only good for the doors. if i start it, it turns right off. there is a chip in it and i need to program the new key. its too much to go the the dealer (towing, etc.). i know that there is a produre to it, but dont know it. please help me.
For ford or mazda cars, to program a key that isn't programed, you need two programed keys, if you don't have two programed keys, you have to go to the dealer and they must program the keys for your car. I hate to say this isn't cheap to do. I just had a key made for a 2002 Ford Focus and it cost me $65.00 for the keyblank and the programing of the key. I don't know of any way to bypass such a system on these type of cars.
Good luck

replacing neutral safety switch on 2000 mazda mpv
ALLData.com probably has the best info for your MPV. I use it for my 2000 MPV and it hasn't failed me yet. Mazda wants $250 for a shop manual and Haynes hasn't written one as of yet. My MPV right now won't come out of 2nd gear because of (I'm hoping) a bad PRNDL Range Select Switch.

please help how can i program remote control for mazda mpv 2002
it's a car with dual power door
Courtesy of: forums.mazdaworld.org
Try this, it works on several 2002 models:
Step 1: Open drivers door and leave open.
Step 2: Lock and unlock the drivers door using the power door lock switch on the door.
Step 3: Insert key into the ignition.
Step 4: Turn key to on position and return to off position. (IMPORTANT
- use ON position NOT ACC position). Do this 3 times within 10 seconds.
Leave key in the ignition.
Step 5: Open and close the drivers door 3 times. (Door should be left open after this step).
Step 6: ECU should respond by locking and unlocking the doors.
Step 7: Press any button on remote #1. ECU responds by locking and unlocking the car doors.
Step 8: Press any button on remote #2 (etc.) Each time the ECU will respond by locking & unlocking the doors.
Step 9: Remove the key from the ignition and the ECU will respond a
final time with a series of door locks and unlocks. You're done

Is there a way to get to and change out the upper front oxygen sensor on my 2001 Mazda MPV without removing the radiator and AC condenser?
It looks as if the engine will need to be removed or the radiator and condenser will have to be removed to get access to the sensor and change it.
No you don't have to move any of that you need a "crow foot" type oxygen sensor it looks like a short brake line wrench that you can put a 3/8 ratchet on it with an extension. This will help you to get this sensor out. Good Luck
