Hi, your battery( main starting battery as the car has two ) for this model is actually in the boot / trunk area on the left hand side hidden behind the trim. Once in the boot / trunk area - you will see the trim on the side has a plug socket on it - the battery is in there.....and that plug is where you attach the Bentley trickle charger too...
I have been told that if i don't do sufficient miles per journey, the ancillary battery will need trickle charging. Is this correct, or am i being naiive?
Yes, this can be correct. It is better for the car to be run somewhat longer, routinely.
I have a Bentley GTC 2007 and the LED strip light is only half working any information on this would be good.
Some leds out in a power strip usually mean those leds are blown. You will probably have to replace the entire strip.
Can someone please tell me which battery do I trickle charge on my 2007 Bentley Continental Thanks Stephen
check the charge on both the batteries of ur bentley.
Rear LED strip light not working the Rear strip light is not working, I tested the power coming to unit and there doesn't seem to be any power at unit. Without tearing the car apart, where does the power come from for the strip light
hi I have got the same problem , did you find a solution, i would appreciate some info. model is 2005 continental GT
my ciggert lighter went out plus the a/c wont blow out of the vent .i cant find the fuse box to check it>>
under the steering whell or dwn the side were you pop ur bonnet if not under the bonnet
I am not sure, but I believe all you have to do is to lower the window all the way down and holding it there for a moment. The close it and hold it for a moment.
2007 Continental GT Coupe, how do I remove the rear seat to get to the battery? The centre armrest at the rear opens and I can see the boot and rear boot lit (from inside) clearly. Can I access the manual release without removing the rear seat?
removing the seat will not help you get to the trunk/boot the only way is to reach in the little cubby hole in the middle of the rear seat with somthing so you can reach the trunk release handle. the batteries are in the boot.
Arnage is about 1/2 a qt low on oil. Would like to add myself so as not to have to deal with the dealer. Arnage R twin turbo. Thanks
see owners manual for proper oil and where to put the oil in the engine. it should have come in the glove box. also look at the oil cap,it usually has oil written somewhere on it. Or go by the nearest part store and tell the parts man you will buy oil from him if he will show you where to put the oil in, some are good enough mechanic to identify the oil cap immediately and do it for free. I know auto zone will do it for free, they will even put a battery in for free and check you cars computer codes with a DB2 monitor if you buy the sensors and battery from them.
My main dealer has indicate that I have a slight oil leak from the rear differential - they say that the whole unit require sto be replaced and that you cannot replace the oil seals - the car has only covered 32k miles any thoughts please?
I say get a second opinion on how bad the oil leak is. The dealer should be willing to cover some of the cost as the vehicle has not done that many miles. A Continental with that many miles should not leak! I think they might be trying to take your money. Buy a cheap white sheet and park the car on top of if after a decent trip and see what is there in the morning. if nothing dont stress about it.
local parts shop, and use the cheapest oil from the supermarket ,just change it every 5000miles no need to change oil filter this often just every third oil change
Bentley continental GT engine stops all power turns off (even hazard warning) key won't come out of ignition Car was in storage for a year. Battery was flat. I charged battery there were a few issues that sorted themselves (wouldn't start on button, height adjustment light on) but now I am driving along and at low rev's the engine just stops. Nothing works at all including hazards and clock! The key won't come out of ignition and I just sit and wait. After 5 mins lights come on and I can start the car normally. Please can anyone help and thankyou for previous help received yesterday.
need to check the charging system..when a car sits for a long time the battery should be disconnected or compl, etely removed..sounds like operating voltage is too low check the alternator for stuck brushes or malfunctioning regulator..should show around 14.5 -16 volts..
Bentley GTC 2007 hood is closed but light on inside of car indacating that it's open , how can I get the light to go off Bentley GTC 2007 hood is closed but light on inside of car indacating that it's open , how can I get the light to go off
There should be a switch the hood comes in contact with, much like a door switch for the interior lights. That switch may be broken or stuck.
