It is not a unsual for owners to use non oem parts for common service items. The fram filters, as long as it is listed as compatible with the ap2 (2007) s2000 will not be a problem.

Generally however, most owners will rely on oem for many of the common parts, while it is generally the various oils and lubricants in which we are more likely to use an aftermarket brand.

The dipstick is fairly easy to locate, when facing the engine it is a small black rectangle on the drivers side of the engine block at the near corner.

Always check your oil after the engine has has a chance to cool completely and is parked on level groud.

FYI the difference in oil between the lowest line on the dipstick and the high line of the dipstick is appox 1 quart of oil.

Finally you should always remember to replace the oil drain plug washer with a new one every time you change the oil as it is a one time use part. THey are available at the website I listed above.

I think the best people to answer this would be HondaCare. If the car has a warranty then they should honor it as long as you have kept up with the maintainence as required by the warranty. A car that young should not have an engine failure so either way I would raise enough hell that someone, even if it is Honda, replaces that engine.

i have the bottle but not sure what you are trying to do ,but i love a good bodge ,now i have no idea what pins are what but if your wiring in an external gauge for the temperature then no problem ,find the wire from the temp sender ,then find the feed wire from the temp gauge onto the connector block on the back of the cluster and run the wire to that ,so then you should have a feed to the existing gauge then the return to the sender unit ,so a multimeter is a must with battery disconnected and sender unit on engine earthed then find that wire in the connection block that would plug in on the old one ,then make a connection to the gauge so the gauge has a 12v feed in then connects to the wire that runs to the temp sender ,simple .Now the alternator light just runs to the small terminal on the alternator ,so again find the right wires and connectors then connect them so the warning light will have a 12v supply then it goes through the bulb and then to the alternator terminal .nothing complicated their just a question of finding the right wires

The starter need to service,

Discovered clutch master-cylinder was leaking hydraulic fluid and air had entered the system. Bled system and topped up reservoir. Will need new master cylinder soon.

Firing order is 1342. The coils are 1234 from the harmonics balancer side of engine to the transmission.

Sounds like you have a broken gear in the transmission.
