Where is the erg valve located
EGR valve - exhaust gas recirculation valve .Which engine does your truck have ? 4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L and 6.2L Not all have an EGR valve , some have Camshaft Actuator System
The cams are controlled allowing exhaust valves an intakes to over lap , allow exhaust gas to be drawn back into the cylinder !
The camshaft (CMP) actuator system is an electro-hydraulic operated device used for a variety of engine performance and operational enhancements. These enhancements include lower emission output through exhaust gas dilution of the intake charge in the combustion chamber, a broader engine torque range, and improved fuel economy. The CMP actuator system accomplishes this by, changing the angle or timing of the camshaft, relative to the crankshaft position. The CMP actuator simply allows earlier or later intake and exhaust valve opening, during the four stroke engine cycle. The CMP actuator cannot vary the duration of valve opening, or the valve lift.
What problems can the knock senor cause?
The knock sensor adjusts the timing dependent on load conditions of the engine. It also compensates for changes in the fuel octane rating. If the engine is pinging or detonating it can damage the pistons and in the worst case under heavy load actually burn a hole in the top of the piston. This sensor also effects the milage.
HOW TO REPLACE HEADLIGHT
take off the plastic cover above the grill and unscrew the headlight mounts disconnect it then disassemble the casing then replace the light and put it all back together
The radiator fan turns on after 5 min that the truck is running
I hope I don't live to regret this...When you first start your motor it is cold. It does not need a fan. When it gets hot the fan will come on bringing the temp down so the fan no longer needs to run. When you drive down the freeway the fan does not need to run because it has plenty of air flow. But when you are not moving the fan needs to cool things down so it will cycle on and off.
