Is it normal for my 2005 1.4 utility to take so long to reach normal working temperature? I drive 30km to work every day and the gauge only lifts up an inch
The answer could be one of many. You may have a thermostat that opens at relatively low temps. Or the temperature sender is getting ready to fail (this was my problem). So long as there is no indication of coolant loss or signs the engine is running hot, I wouldn't worry. My temperature gauge has been sitting rock bottom without movement for some time (a couple years). Parts store keeps giving me the wrong one. My truck still runs fine. And since the idiot light is on a different conduit, I'll wait till I can leave my truck sitting for a bit, remove the offending sending unit, and take it to the parts shop to show them just what it is I need.
My Opel Corsa dies down during driving, it will only start again after 7 to 10 mins, l have no clue whats happening.
No idea offhand to be honest i would need my head under the bonnet to know what wrong .could be anything from the gauze filter in the fuel tank on the bottom of the fuel pump becoming chocked up and leaving the car allows it to drop away to a faulty pump overheating or the contacts ,maybe even a ignition module overheating ,Best advice is ask a local mechanic to have a look for you as normally these early opel corsas with the 4 cylinder engine are bullet proof they are even valve free if the timing belt snaps .
