How to fit a handbrake cable

Pretty major job on the Grandis but do-able if you do some work with pentrating oil beforehand. Oh, and order a new cable retaining clip from the dealer, as the cable doesn't come with one, and you won't get the old one off in one piece. Remember the two cables are different, and if you're keeping the car, it would be daft not to do both at the same time. You need to remove the back seats and lift the carpet to access the internal retaining brackets. Remove wheel, brake pads & caliper, caliper bracket then persuade the disc off. Next remove the 4 bolts and remove the whole hub, as this way you don't need to disturb the shoes. Remove old cable, insert new one, then feed inside car removing the old cable with the new one as you go. Mitsubishi quoted me 4 hours labour, you'll need all day.

MY GRANDIS HAVING PROBLEM WITH GEAR BOX , NOT MOVING SMOOTHLY AFTER PUT TO D

The engine and the automatic transmission in this vehicle are computer controlled and in most cases when a fault occurs a fault code is stored in the memory of the computer control module. There are exception to this, such as the Mass Airflow Meter and fuel pressure problems. What must be done is to have all the basic testing done such as a scan of the system for fault codes as well as a check with a live data scanner tool for engine functions that are not within range of normal, a trained technician is required to know what is correct and what isn't, then based on careful diagnostics done from a factory repair manual the correct part is replaced or the wiring repaired or the computer replaced (known as the PCM), which is very rarely the problem. Other basic checks must be done as well such as mechanical problems with the engine as well as engine state of tune and mileage on the engine. The transmission can have mechanical issues as well such as no gear engagement at all or a failed pump or other pressure related problems.

Steering rack problem car is moving to the right when travelling a straight road?

It may be the wheel tracking is out. It could also be a worn balljoint. Don't jump to conclusions about the steering rack. get somebody to put it on a ramp and inspect things underneath

If i leave my steering when travelling a straight road vehicle is moving to the right by it self when not holding the steering wheel?

A number of alignment issues or worn parts can cause pulling, and it may just need an alignment. A brake caliper not fully releasing can pull on that side also .

My mitsubish chariot grandis 1997 has rough idling and does not exceed 2000 revs when travelling. it also does not exceed gear number 2 when u accelerate more. what could be the problem?

Hello, I would have the timing checked first. It sounds like that may be the problem, but if it is not, a plug wire may be loose in the wrong place? Please gather as much information as possible tell me everything including with the plugs, did they remove one wire at a time so as to not put them back in the wrong place? I need to lnow if you have checked things like is it running hot, or rough at speed or just at idle, etc. Let me know okay? Thank You for using FixYa.com!!

The multi display of my grandis do not memorize even the time that I have adjusted

There is a fuse for the clock memory. It gets constant system voltage even when key is off. Check your fuses, I'm surectou'll find the bad one.
