Right away you thing air bag , could be a wiring problem , bad controller , a sensor etc.. People have been killed by air bags deploying , not knowing how test the system .

I have one of these. It sends the codes to my iphone. It also sends other interesting data and service reminders, plus tyre wear status. You would be able to capture it as soon as the Engine Malfunction Light comes on. Otherwise you need to buy your own scanner. If the light comes on, something is wrong at that time and interrogating the codes is the only way.

There is a problem with the buckle sensor, it a really just a ground, circuit, try cleaning the buckle and belt end with spray brake clean, do not get it on the fabric of belt or seat covers.

The warning light more times than not is coming on because of the emission system. There are several sensors that are hard to diagnose even for a professional with a computer. First place to start which is cheap and easy is to use a fuel treatment for a few tanks of gas. This has worked for me in the past by cleaning out the fuel injectors and fuel system. From there if this does not work you will have to check O2 sensors everywhere they are and replace.

If spinning nice and fast and still no start, make sure that gas is entering the chamber and that you also have spark. The absence of either will result in your non start condition. Check out fuel pump, ignition coil(s), etc.
