I can't tell you the length but the diameter of brake lines is commonly 3/16" and rarely bigger - some older vehicles and heavier vehicle use 1/4".
The size of the pipe is intuitive by simple comparison or measuring with a caliper but there is several different threads, lengths, diameters of pipe nuts in common use and it is important to get these right first time.
It is also very important the replacement pipe is formed exactly as the original, follows exactly the original route and is adequately secured.
When one brake pipe fails usually others aren't far behind and the failure of a pipe should signal a very close examination of the others, especially looking for corrosion scale or pitting close to the wheels. Replacing four or five pipes on a large vehicle can use a whole 25 foot roll of pipe.
It might be better to invest in a cheap pipe flaring kit and the materials to produce your own pipes - or remove the old pipes and ask a local repairer to make new pipes to those patterns. That was my job as an apprentice and I must have produced a mile of pipes for outside customers.
Temperature gauge is at normal but coolant is coming out recovery tank when I drive it
You have trapped air in the cooling system, purge the air out of the system. You can do this by raising the car front end as high as possible and filling the coolant recovery tank to the brim leave the cap off, then run engine until it reaches operating temperature, then shut it down and run cold water over the radiator core, the coolant tank will be sucked dry most likely as the air is purged and replaced by coolant.
I bought a 00 ford f150 with a 5.4 v8 it has sat
HAVE YOU CHANGED OR CLEANED THE FUEL INJECTORS? ALSO TRY SOME STUFF CALLED "SEA FOAM" I'VE BOUGHT IT AT ADVANCED AUTO PARTS BUT I'D BET IT'S AROUND OTHER PLACES. I PUT THAT IN A 73 CHEVY TRUCK WITH A CARBURETOR THAT SAT FOR MANY YEARS AND IT CLEANED IT UP AND RAN GREAT!!! I WAS VERY SURPRISED!
Why cant put gas in truck?
Many places you have to pay for gas, if you have paid and the pump wont pump into the tank there could be an obstruction in the hose going to your tank

many possibilities. most common are: bad gas, dirty fuel filter, bad fuel pump, clogged fuel pick-up in tank, dirty/malfunctioning injectors....etc etc etc. Also possible that you got your spark plug wires wet and have a bad connection.
Engine runs then stops
It's most likely one of three things. It could be a plugged fuel filter, a bad fuel pump. or a bad throttle positioning sensor.
Engine rpm's run too high in park and neutral
The idling problem sounds like an idle sensor or the trucks choke is stuck on. The manual shift could be a transmission sensor of sort. Not an expert with the F-150 but I would speculate the two problems are unrelated to one another
2003 f150 won't start. Battery checked out ok, starts only with jump. Alternator OK---runs without positive cable attached. Headlights darken when ignition turned.
The battery still sounds weak. If it's over 3 years old, probably needs replacing. At fully charged it should have a voltage of at least 12.6 volts.
If the battery is good, you probably have a loose or poor connection, possibly a bad cable or wire, between battery, starter, alternator, check all those connections. Check the battery ground and the engine strap to body ground. Test alternator output by putting a voltmeter on the battery with engine running. Voltmeter should say at least 13.5 volts to know the battery is being charged, and charging system is working good.
It is bad practice to disconnect the battery on a running engine, or even with the key on. Doing so causes voltage spikes in circuits, and can damage electronic parts, especially computers.
Brake pedal sinks to floor when at stop light
The brake system has air in it or a leak past the seals if it does this while stopped. Are you losing fluid from the reservoir? A leak. Can you improve the feel of the pedal by pumping it? Air.Maybe both if the system has not be flushed or maintained for a while.
