no country told this is a world wide forum, and cars are not the same world wide at all, vast differences. (by laws too) quesiton #2 is this car fitted out with DRL, daylite running lamps>?????????? well fuses are first. check them first we do. then scan the PCM using scan tool (obd2 ,2008 or newer tools)\ USA answer? the PCM will tell you why, the owners guide ,in glove box see chapter fuses/ see head lamps? HL :? fuses,??? OOPS NO FUSES !!! focus , not focus Electric or Focus RS car,. right. the BCM runs the lamps and has no fuse for any pair of lamps it uses electronic regulators to NOT need fuses. 2018 auto lamps. the left and right bcm lamp drivers are not he same driver. so only one side fails. see? F74 fuse blow kills them all up front. 10 lamps dead. so is not this. here is my guess, manual lamps fail low beams. both lamps are bad. or wires cut or shored to them. but no wire can do that, there are redundant wired sides, so both can;t fail by DESIGN \even 2 grounds, left and right not the same. so learn the scan this car every time if fails fore sure now. or test the lamps 1 by1 , unplug them and see if low beams read 0 ohms if not the element it burned out. on both. scan it and see , left right dead lamps low/??????????

well the tranny service manual covers that but first we need the real transmission name and is it 4wd? well TCC is always 3 place. the outside controller (PCM/TCM) and wire there to . the transmission TCC solenoid.(inside) so I will now answer for the tranny guts. the TC clutch can be bad too, or the piston that drives it. or solenoid (dc volt coil to fluid valve solenoid) Ford box CD4E The Torque Converter Clutch solenoid is part of the solenoid valve body assembly. The solenoid valve body assembly is 142 (labeled Body assembly - transmission control solenoid (TCS)) on the Disassembled View on your Service DVD.(or manual) buy the manual or read this. (keep in mind it can just be a TC clutch bad and no the ACTUAL TRANNY AT ALL, OR TCM IS IN LIMPMODE, NO DTC ERRORS POSTED WHY NOT? $16 BUCKS TOO MUCH https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=ford+cd4e++ATSG&_sacat=0&_sop=15 ALL YOu can do is (tell all DTCs thrown) and test for voltage on the tranny connector for TCC lock. and if is good you can put in ID 141 part. if fails install a new clutch.(main TC) 141 is the solenoid set, (all in one)

Take it to a Ford main dealer for conformation.

The most common cause of this is the electric in fuel tank fuel pump is sticking due to the introduction of the cold fuel. I would replace the pump.

Check OBD codes for a clue.

You may need a shop manual for this. There is a smart junction box that contains some mini-relays that controls the shift lock solenoid. The junction box is controlled by the engine and body computers.That red wire comes from the junction box.

limited information generic answer so a yr ago you didnt go back to whoever when a/c failed after compressor replacement should have went back since their would have been some kind of warranty on work --you most likely have a leak again didnt specify how not working I.E. not turning on -no power -going on /off--on but not cold-noisy---check fuse and relay have pressure checked - and if using a dealer get a different one

My local mechanic can't figure it out ??? Better find a better mechanic . The guy above doesn't have a clue either , Before you go replacing the PCM / ECM. More then likely it's instrument cluster electronics problem . All the warning lights come on when you first turn on the key , then go off after a few seconds . That is if no problems exsit . This is know as prove - out . So i'd say you have an instrument cluster problem - the instrument cluster also has a microprocessor inside , lots of solder connections etc.... Start with the simple stuff.What is the battery voltage? It should be 12.5 to 13.2 volts across the terminals.Now check the voltage from the positive terminal of the battery, to a nice shiny nut or bolt on the body or engine. It should be 12 volts or more.What happens if you put your headlights on and try to start the car? Do the headlights turn to glow worms? You have a bad or flat battery. 3 years life on bad makes, 6 years on good makes. Walmart batteries are the worst.The anti-theft system needs reprogramming. See Jeff's information below.
