Locate the lighter plug, then reference the location and value for replacement. Good luck.

might be a simple as a fuse so i'd check the fuse box first ,your owners manual will have the relevent details

I have a new battery and when I park the car the batt goes dead

Could be your cylinder head gasket has blown. Check your water and oil, have they mixed and are the levels down. If so you need to replace the gasket. Don't run it again until you're sure. It could wreck your engine.

It could be the petrol filter. Also check the air mass sensor and the air filter. First thing to do is a electronic check-up.

1. Remove bumper.
2. Pop off the grills. Easy to reach everything with the bumper off.
3. Take off the plastic fan cover.
4. Slide the latch cover off the bottom and reach up inside and pull the latch release.

you replace it, you do not repair it. your problem is that most parts stores carry only high volume rebuilts so you may play hell finding a rebuilt/exchange part for a BMW. there is a certain price to pay for owning such things and this is part of it, also many repair shops may not want to touch it even if you provide the part. However I am sure someone out there sells these parts, do a google search. Then i would find a foreign auto repair shop and pay them to put it in.

You would need a obd2 compatible scanner. You can try disconnecting the battery for 15-20 mins but I don't think that will help you. Did you check if you are getting power to the starter motor?
