P0302 mis fire, lacks power

Pull the spark plug of cylinder 2. Put the coil on the spark plug. Ground the sparkplug and have someone crank the engine. See if you see a spark. If you have no spark switch coils with another cylinder. If still no spark it could be one of the wires going to the ignition coil. If there is a spark do you smell gas at the spark plug hole? Could be no fuel to the cylinder.

Ford Escape 2008 inconsistently starts.

Sometimes the starter switch solonoid on the right side fender wall works intermittent. Very easy to replace and does not cost very much --- has two poles that supply voltage to starter and one small pole that supplies voltage from the key when energized --- when voltage from key is supplied the solonoid snaps closed supplying voltage to starter to start the engine-- most autopart companies will sell a generic brand for less than 20 dollars. Otherwise it may be in the steering Column. to test this you will need test light to determine that everytime to turn the key power goes over to that original solonoid -- if not it may be in the steering Column

I have a 2008 Ford Escape. While I was driving , a yellow wrench appeared on the dashboard. I parked, switched it off and restarted the engine. The sign disappeared. This happened twice in two weeks' ti

The check engine light is not something new It has been around since 1983,some 31 years Have a shop check for codes, diagnose them & make the repairs I check for codes the same day any dash light appears & diagnose things with a couple days including any repairs Most likely you never replaced your front oxygen sensors at 100,000 miles & you have a few bad ignition coils, thus cylinder misfires that are very very common on all fords

No tail lights on my 2008 ford escape. driver rear blinker wasn't working. replaced bulb, but when i turn on the blinker both blinkers are blinking...front and back...

Not sure I follow your story. The front and rear turn signal should blink on one side. If the tail lamps are not working, it could be a fuse or a problem with the wiring. And the tail lamps are on the same circuit as the front parking lamps.

Oil light coming on when come to a stop orinto a sharp right turn.

Well it could be the sending unit/switch or a wiring problem, but it really sounds like the engine is low on oil. You have checked to see if it is full, right ?

2008 Escape Front two fans only work if I put pressure, by hand, on the connector to each fan.

check the pins in the connectors and ensure that they are making good tight contact. You may have to move the pins a bit to achieve this . The problem is in the connections if placing pressure on them improves the result.
