Lighting Sytems On NO Vehicles Have Codes

Does not sound like a bearing problem...I suggest you check the spare..most vehicles with the air pressure devices have the in the spare also...Check your wheel lugs make sure they are tight..to check the bearing jack the vehicle up one wheel at a time and Check for play in the bearing..there should be zero play in and out up and down or side to side...if there is need to replace it..good luck..

I have a 2009 Chevy Aveo. The hold light has come on two times since I have owned the vehicle. The first time at about 37,000 (just out of warranty)the vehicle started running very poorly. the check engine light came on as well as the hold light blinking. At first I thought it was a transmission problem, It was NOT. The problem with this gem of a car is that the spark plugs need to be replaced by 35,000 miles. The check engine light was due to the ignition coil pack being bad (cylinder 3) All four need to be replaced at once. After replacing the coil pack and plugs the check engine light went out and the hold light went out. This was an extremely easy repair. I walked my 13 year old daughter through the repair.The second time the hold light went on was about a week ago. I now have about 52,000 miles. The light came on for no apparent reason. The only unusual thing that happened was that i accidentally spun the tires in the rain just before the light came on. The owners manual will tell you to bring it in asap because there could be serious problems. I couldn't believe i was having another major problem (there was no check engine light on this time) My guess was that the spinning of the tires could have had something to do with causing the hold light to go on and blink. What i did was disconnect the battery over night in an attempt to reset the light. It worked, i have not seen the light come back on in over a week. I drive about 50 miles a day on the highway as well as stop and go traffic. Ill call that a win.These lights come on for a reason, if the light comes back on i will be planning on taking it in to a transmission specialist. I am not trying to say you should ignore your lights but sometimes a little effort before taking it into your mechanic can save you a bunch of money. I just wanted to share what i did with you all. Also you can have your check engine codes read my many auto part stores usually at no charge.I would never buy another Aveo or recommend one to anyone. In my opinion they are poorly manufactured vehicles. I guess i should have guessed that any vehicle with a 3 year 36k mile warranty has such a short warranty for a reason! I hope i could help someone with my experience.

you may have more than one...is your a/c not working at all, or just in certain parts of the car?

probably a bad switch it reverses the polarity in the motor

There must be something stopping the window in the track. Look for some debris in there.

Why do you want to do that ? You can't just change ECU'S ,they need to be programed an only dealer can do that !

There is now specific toqure for wheel bearing nuts in general . Its more of a feel thing bring it down slowly with no brake parts interfering when you rotate the rotor.You will fell it getting harded to turn .You want some restiance but not to much . And I find a lot of times when the bearings have been replaced repacked you have to retighten them after a few thousand miles . Its common sence the bearing has to be tight so the wheel isn't moveing side to side but it has to spin freely or the bearing will be distroyed .

Oil level reading low , wrench means time for service if oil level is right level sensor failing.

your high side its good too or not got to make sure that whenyour sister put on the ac that the fan start and stay on

is the indicator in the park position really in park ? was the replacement cylinder installed properly? could it be hanging up on locking in steering collum .? try moving steering wheel hard left and right while trying it remove key.

The evos sytem on chevys is the problem,,,evap operating system,,,evos,,, the vent valve soliniod, or vent valve purge,,on the intake of the engine is sticking in the open position,, i cant remember which its called but its the one on the intake,,, what happens is it sticks open position and when you fill your car with gas it pushes all the gas fumes into the intake,,, causeing a flooding ,no start , or hard start situation,,,if you cant or dont want to fix,it, you can leave your car running when getting gas it will be fine ,,which is the cheap fix,,,, the evos system has 4 componets,,, vent valve solinoid, vent valve purge, charcole canister, fuel presure sensor(top of fuel tank) all can be replaced for around 125 bucks if you do some seaching around and doing the labor yourself,,check out you tube,,,

They can not be adjusted the computer regulates them but you can change them out to a bigger or smaller injector the only adjustment you can do is to the computer if you have the program to do so

Sounds as if you may have blown fuses or stuck relay.

Could be a misfire in one of the cylinders try changing your spark plugs
