I did this to vast car back 1965 up. old distributors and using CDI upgrade or using MSDS upgrades. your mod installer did this wrong! the old car Has A startup huge resistor to plus + COIL LUG. THIS MUST BE JUMPERED OR REMOVED. THE RESISTOR IS FOR POINTS IGNITION ONLY,. THE RESISTOR IS ALWAYS BYPASSED IN KEY CRANKING BUT NOT IN RUN,. SEE? MOST CARS THE HUGE RESISTOR (GETS HOT) IS MOUNTED TO FENDER OR FIRE WALL. THE RESISTOR CAUSES THE UP GRADE KIT TO FAIL OR GET THE UPGRADE MANUAL AND READ IT AND DO THE INSTALL AGAIN. i RAN CDI THAT USES 400VDC TO DRIVE THE COIL. TO 50,000 VOLTS, NOTHING WORKS BETTER. first car I did was 1959 pickup.

fuel level sensor (yes is float) most of these sensor, well not open here. there are 2 or 3 wires. the meters had then a thermal meters. fuse >>keyon>>>> meter in, meter out >>> sender >>gnd. if sender is bad voltage to hot pin is 12vdc.key on. if less it is good like 6v. my old 91 car had 120 ohms empty and 3 ohms full. 30ohms 1./2 full sender pot., so gas full is near 0v. or 1v. the meter has shut inside, not opel but old and generic answers. fails: ?? all answers connected ! fuse blown meter bad rare sensor bad common 12vdc on its pin is bad ground bad super common 12v on this pin ground is bad. about 6 volts or less is common and good. on hot pin for truth buy the service manual , like we do.

well that firing order is wrong! an Opel Kadett 200ie, 1996 no country told and 15 engines used world wide this car. last one in UK is 1995 so I guess it is not UK? sold under 11 names world wide. MARK ROTOR #1 TO DISTRIB BODY THEN CAP ON AND MARK #1 ON CAP. PUT #1 WIRE TO #1 CAP AND 1,3,4,2, IN CW OR CCW DIRECTION SEEn ABOVE. at FIRST STEP. DONE car runs. if distributor was pulled there are 15 engine answers. next time on all cars made on earth with HV spark wires do them 1 at a time. and win. distribs or any car with HV spark wires seen (sets)

Identical cold start issue on my Astra IE 1996 F series after the engine got rebored - after months the new oil pump was found to be faulty & clogged-up & replaced by the spares supplier - the car then ran perfectly after this. I was told the blockage created a backpressure & the computer was stopped it starting. 16 years later - 10 yrs after the last service covering just 8600km (last 2 yrs car hardly started) has identical cold issues again. It can be driven around & wont take long cold start in our warm coastal winters. The good mechanic seems to be giving up trying to fix my old car but refuses to believe its a low oil pressure issue saying that just makes the oil warning symbol light up & doesn't affect a car starting. I want to check if the engine warning light works on starting showing the low oil pressure sensor is working. But his now busy searching for a Astra specific temperature sensor.

(turns)?or the column TURNS lever switches bad..?

Some garages will disconnect stuff so you have to come back and they will dream up something else that needs fixing. All your issues are electronic and covered by the computer network that connects all the modules and sensors. There is only one way to diagnose those faults and that is by an auto-electrician who will connect a $5,000 scan tool computer and pinpoint where these faults are and fix them. NO YEAR TOLD 2003 TO 2017 NO ENGINE(OF 12+) NOT TOLD WHAT MEANS "WENT OFF" did that mean engine stalled? no country told, cars match books and country. over 12 engines used on this car world wide sales sorry can not guess year, country or engines the car needs service get some or elaborate you post tell what fails and does not fail both,cars are complex. yes top cause is not getting a tune up or doing the scheduled service points.

Your Diktator Management System is a snake oil product. Opel are quite competent at designing and managing your engine. It is supplying more power to the coil in the hope of giving you a better spark. Do you have any warning lights on the dashboard? Have you had the vehicle scanned for Trouble Codes? This sounds like there could be a faulty sensor in the system. Get the vehicle plugged into a diagnostic system or an OBD2 scanner to scan for Trouble Codes. These codes will give clues as to where the problem could be. If you have to pay for this service ask at 4 or 5 different places as the prices can be VERY different. Comment below with the codes and I'll try to help you more.

lots of causes. spark bad is first (or last fuel flooding misfire) no year told or country of VIN that gets all. 1983 to 2006 world wide (and not USA) or 2000 to 2006 with petrol 1.8 L Z18XE I4<<< this engine? there were 4 engines 1.8L and I can not guess em'/ the VIN tells what is there, if we decode it. learn what engine is there first, before doing any DIY engine work.

bottle puse if you google that we have 100years of that. well back first internet called ARPnet the answer are all the same the engine is over heating. then you google that word pair,engine overheats and see 20 reasons about 5 tools.to find it.(IR gun and leak down gauge) the cooling systems on all cars have 1 purpose to remove all excess heat from the engine, to the main radiator. It forms a coolant loop all parts in said loop can fail. in many ways; head gasket, pump, thermostat good. (checked off) wow forgot a $5 new cap>? why? bad huge radiator or full of bugs or AC condenser full of bugs I use IR gun to all rad tubes)finned) and if one has NO temp drop end to end it is clogged up,. repeat al tubes, in seconds flat see 180f on once side and 150f or lower on the other and I say RAD IS GOOD. tube test , 180f and drops to 150 or less is good 180f end to end is bad.(tube it is clogged) my jeep here does 180f to 130f drop, 3.7 and my 3.8 liter both does it overheat parked only (stops signs) or never overheats driving fast, 50mph +?????? air in the loop not burped correcly! loose fan belt to pump. huge fans dead 1, 2, or even 3 on some cars the service manual tells you at what temp each fan turns on, about 220f is it. engine head or block cracked, sucking air or combustion gasses. gee did you check the head for warp-age or just throw gasket on blind. no head can seal up if warped or cracked.
