It is the wiring to the ignition coil on the engine. I assume you mean coil and not "cool"

There is a central control module on the fuse panel that has a speaker in it. Looks like an oversized relay. It's use is for when you leave the keys in the ignition, left the lights on, or the door isn't closed all the way. It will still run without it.

Yes you can remove the drive shaft to change it to rear or front drive.

Your best bet is to head to your local library and find a service manual for your vehicle that provides detailed information on for this job. You will be safer, your task will be easier and in the long run a manual will save you a lot of time and money.

Check for spark, check for fuel pressure. it is one of those most likely.

Not very far if the belt runs the water pump.

There is a special tool that is needed to remove most stereo's and then you need wired connector that fits your vehicle for the one you are putting in. The rmoval tool is $10-15 at walmart.
