carb flooding over, gas build up, try turning off gas supply then crank it over. try shut gas off when ur not riding

if close to head, gas adj, if on air box(filter) side of carb then air mix screw is normal 1 1/2 turns from lightly seated should get started then adj from there

light wiring loose prolly ground or bulb holder corroded bad bulb in oil temp light.sending unit wire loose connector corroded

bad ground or wiring connection prolly check your connector. electric magnet is how it operates slides on shaft so maybe dirty or bent good luck

coil maybe bad. lots of reasons here
cdi maybe bad i would try boot on spark plug wire first screws off and back on with new one

belt drive or chain drive? belt loose, chain shear pin bad ? gears stripped? several reasons here ! hard to say w/o more info sorry!

SHOULD TRACE BACK WIRE. PROLLY GOES TO POSITIVE POST IF IT COME FROM STARTER RELAy. can test with meter by switching post on battery to your loose wire

make sure your ground wire is making good connection cannot be any paint between wire and frame ground. good luck

severe knock / rattle under load
excessive smoke as the crack normally occurs at the oil ring groove dropping that ring into the sump
describe the symptoms that you have as if it is a rattle under acceleration that will be detonation and is a air/fuel mixture problem or ignition timing too far advanced the skirt is what maintains the alignment of the piston crown so if it is cracked /broken off you will have no doubt of the noise at idle and at rpms
pistons seldom fail because of the engineering and material used so it would have to be an extreme operation that would cause the failure
other similar noises can be from loose valve seat insert
piston hitting valve head from failed valve spring big end bearing cam lobe worn out
