Check fuse if not that check off on on switch on handle bar or wires could off melted together from ur new batery

Will not turn over. replaced solenoid and battery is new. Lights, and power OK. Too weak to pull cord to manually start.


You need to try and find someone to try the manual start, just to rule out anything past the auto switch such as starter. If battery is new and solenoid is new then it's probably either the switch or could even be a fuse in the link.

04 Polaris predator, I bought used last week. I put a new battery and new carb on it. It doesn't have power, won't start, and no spark with kick starter. Dead. Fuses,wires, look good. Any ideas


Did it have compression before you bought it?
No power to the electric starter? Then you probably have no power to the ignition system. I'd check battery connections. Is the battery going flat overnight? Some shorts. Is there an ignition with a key? Is the switch good? or all the connections good? Corrosion does some funny things. Fuses may look good but actually are not.

Tips on how to free up a tight bottom end on a 08 kfx450r not locked up will still run with a roll start but to tight to start of the starter? headgasket did blow and got a lot of water in the oil and got...


change oil ? water wont compress!!! prolly gallded all internal parts . at this point i would try transmission fluid. drain oil and check for metal or allum. shavings. refill w/trans fluid , remove spark plug , add tfluid in very small amt to cyl. replace plug.start briefly dont rev eng at all . let idle if it will. maybe 1 to 2 mins. shut off let complete cool down . restart again w/same fluid. same as b4. stop drain fluid . smell t.fluid if burnt or not. flush cranckcase w/new oil. hope for the best here. refill eng to proper level and p++ y. has worked for me but wasnt severe as yours sounds to be. good luck let me know if it helps or not. be sure ALL TRANS FLUID IS GONE FROM ENG. B4 new oil is put in . replace oil filter too b4 trans fluid is added and after tfluid is emptied.

ok two reasons here. 1st being the oil temp sensor or wiring to it from fan.test sensor when eng light is on . wire to sensor must be disconnected..ohms test. to grnd on atv. open or closed. now retest when eng is cold same test as b4. open or closed? if different reading assume sensor is ok. check wiring same way. can do wires eng cold btw. should find a relay for the fan on atv also thats part 2. be a small prolly black box near battery compartment (dry location) (up high ) trace wire from fan to relay then to sensor . pretty simple there . same as b4 either open or closed when hot and different when cold is ok if different. as always CHECK FUSES FIRST. CONNECTIONS SECOND. 95 % electrical ......dirty / bad connections.

What stops my engine starting


power wire and ground make starter work inside starter case. the power wire goes through several safety switches on way to starter. check each connector 4 loose wiring. battery (-)to engine and frame need more history here b4 i can help anyymore. good luck

2012 honda rancher 420 without warning 2 hrs into trail, quad starts to chug and surge. then it quites. Start easy, but then chugs and surges again. If left for 2 hrs, no problem untill 2 hours into...


could be alot of things but start your daig.by determining if anything has changed fuel related... example.... could some water or bad gas recently been added to your gas tank or has poor fuel made it into your carb.float bowl?? Could some trash from fuel clogged a jet in the carb.? Also,some spark type problems are heat related. i.e. pulse coil generator pick-up
