We have a 250 kazuma go-kart and the fuel is getting to the carbs but isn't getting any further. Manually choking (with hand) just gets it to start but it wont keep running. there is no fuel getting through the carbs. Any advice on this problem will be greatly appreciated.

indicates that the air/fuel mixture screws need adjusting
normally they have a c generic setting from the factory and need further adjustment when fitted
make sure that the choke system is attached and working
Hi, My guess is that when you put the cable back in to the carb, It was not put in correctly. Thusly making the bike run high. There is a groove in the cable end and it must line up with a knotch on the carb.
After you do this you may have to reset the carb idle and fuel mix. Good Luck
I have a duromax 16hp engine on a murry go kart ran perfectly fine we took engine off kart painted kart put motor back on go kart now wont idle unless holding choke halfway open and new gas we drained gas before we started work on kart plesas help only about 10 hrs
Compression release stuck open? Do the plugs show spark? Is the slide in the carb moving up and down when you turn the throttle? Soak the carbs in denatured alcohol for 30 minutes, then clean them with spray carb cleaner. Remove the air screw and throttle screw on the carbs and spray into the holes. Reassemble and LIGHTLY seat the screws. Now open each one up one and one half turns. This is the factory setting. Install an in-line fuel filter to keep trash out of the carbs. Is the exhaust clear? Is the air filter clean? Some bikes have an oil level sensor > is the oil level in the gearbox where it should be?
Check the choke in the carb, might stay stuck in the open position when engine cools down. After the engine is cold, check and see if the choke is closed, if not close it by hand, and see if that works.
your carb. is flooding the cylinder when its not running.it will cause ring damage.turn your gas pitcock off when not in use.get carb cleaned &adjusted.
I would have your compression tested, if its a two stroke, and you can use tools with out breaking things or yourself, pour a cup of fuel down the left hand side of the carb and take the right hand side of the carb off and crank it like mad, if fuel leaks from there you better get to a repairer.
other wise the idle adjuster is usually on the left hand side where the accelerator linkages are, it will be a screw where the linkage touches when the throttle is closed. not too hard to find if you have a light source.
I've never seen a KT100 before, but i've worked with similar engines. The fuel isn't gravity fed. It uses a pulse pump system using diaphragms in the carburettor to sort of "**** and blow" the fuel using pressure impulses and valves to stop the fuel going backwards.
The first place you should look is if there is a short pipe from the crankcase to the carb so that the pressure pulses from the case can move the diaphragms. You should be able to see this from some pics on google images. If thats all ok, you should check if the carb is perfectly clean. If its still giving you problems, change the diaphragms in the carb. You should be able to get a replacement rebuild kit from a dealer.
