What kind of oil do you put in it?im not sure but i think for your type of 4 wheeler you use 10w-40 or 20w-50,if the oil you put in is too thin it will over heat,as for the smoking it could be the rings or it could be valve stem seals letting a little oil drip by,but you wouldnt have very much smoke if it was the valve stem seals my guess is rings and if it is your atv will be losing power sometime soon if you keep riding it and will eventually quit running,then you will need a new piston and rings,i could be wrong,im just now getting into atv repair...........hope it helps
