Question about Polaris ATV
I let my 2002 Polaris Sportsman 700 sit out in the rain and it got some water in the speedometer and now it doesn't work and when I have it pluged in to the quad itself it wont start but it will when I unplug it and it won't engage the 4 wheel drive. I've tried draining all the water from it and letting it dry but it still doesn't start while pluged in and without it I cant engage the 4 wheel drive. This is a real problem when I take it hunting and I can't get traction in 2wd. Can this be fixed and how or do I have to buy a replacement pod and if so where can I get one and for how much? Thanks
You have to buy a new speedometer. It is a VDO speedometer and controls your 4wd. I am a polaris dealer and i can sell you one. 515-955-6000 ext 2 Thanks
