This winch should simple straight foward hook up. Your big red & black wires should hook straight to your battery. Red (+) black (-) if there is no fuse on the wires put at least a 20 amp.fuse close to your battery. These are the main power suply. They will go in a.small black box. Also coming out of the black box will be the wires that run to the cable in & out switch.and there should be one heavy ga. Wire going to the winch motor. Make sure the wire is good and clean when you hook it to the winch motor. Do not over tighten the nut . Just give a good snuging down. As for your solenoid box. That should be the little black box that your main power wires go into and controle wires come out of..
electric switch prolly dirty. check fuse , connections ? elect. magnetic sw. if nothing found try a hot wire at closest plugin (connector) to the magnetic sw. (eng off battery disconnected) dont touch and hold the hot wire to conn. just flash it , quickly . should hear the sw make contact. if sw makes you have bad wiring or the sw on handlebars dirty. normally just bad connections or broken wire between bars and sw. let me know how it goes
use a multimeter to test the input and output of the cdi box. I've heard that the owners manuals for some brands may have a test procedure and values for your box. if you don't have the manual. try to google it, you should be able to find a pdf of it online. good luck
