Do a compression test on the cylinders, it sounds like one or more valves are not seating properly, allowing the fuel to ignite in the exhaust manifold,

My artic cat 400 (2004) fourwheeler was running perfectly fine and one day just stopped and would turn over but wouldn't ever catch.. any assistance on what the issue might be?

First things first, check you are getting a good spark by removing the spark plug and with it attached to the coil hold the body of the plug against the engine and crank it over, you should see a nice blue spark over the plug gap. If not make sure you have power getting to your coil, if good try another plug, then if not, try another lead, then if not, try another coil. Also check that the kill switch has not open/short circuited. There are a number of things that could be causing the grief but I hope these couple of pointers help.

Hi Jasper:
Have you tried jump starting from another vehicle?
It may be that your battery is just not putting out enough amps.
RV and motorcycle batteries tend to not last as long as car batteries.

Artic cat 400 i started it let it run for 10 minutes and then it died and will not start now is not getting any fire to the spark plug

guessing you changed the spark plug? .. you can fry the coil from heat...I used to wrap coils in rags when I tested them on a coil tester to try to make them break down from the heat quicker. It worked too.
