I have a 2009 Polaris Sportsman 500EFI 4 wheeler. Recently, the number 1200 started flashing under the speedo. What does this indicate?

It may be a full time 4x4 therefor it does not have a lever to shift

that sounds like your clock you must of lost 12 volt connection at some point engine codes dont go that high

On my 4 wheeler if I raise the front wheels off the ground and with the 4 wheel drive engaged you should not be able to turn the front tires two revolutions. You need to be more specific as to what you are trying to do because there are other electrical things that can be checked. Like if the 4 wheel drive will not engage. Previous test is only to see if the front end is engaged in 4 wheel drive.

check for a vacuum leak first... then suspect a idle control solenoid issue

You have a faulty switch, or it has corrosion in it, moving the switch through it's full travel rapidly for a while to clean the inner contacts may cure the problem, or try disconnecting the switch.

Since we cannot hear any sounds, its going to be hard to diagnose on here. I would take it to my dealer and ask the service manager to listen and go from there..
