Question about ATVs
On a website where another guy had this problem, the previous owner told the new owner that he shifted it into 4x4 while in the mud and it is now stuck in AWD. According to Blueline15: "previous owner did a very bad thing. for anyone who doesnt know, remember this example. although you can flip the 4x4 switch while moving, if your back tires are spinning while in 2wd, you can not go into 4x4 or you will cause this problem. just remember this, the flip on the 4x4 the front wheels need to match the rear in wheel speed. so either be moving and not stuck, or come to a complete stop.
what happened is you have rollers in a plastic cage in the front end. when he hit the 4x4 button with the rears spinning, the torque going to the front gearbox while everything was at a stand still that it broke the roller cage.
You're looking at a few hundred dollars at a dealer, depending on how bad."
I hope this helps.

If that has the electric push button shift like other polarisisissis it could just be a stuck switch.
