Yamaha Grizzly 03-660. Why doesn't it start?

If you look at the picture - 29, 30 & 31 are the starter relay, main fuse and probably the bolt that holds it to the frame. When that fuse blows or that relay goes out - it's over. Not going to start. If you have a standard test light - attach the clip end to ground (frame of atv) and then put touch the postivie post of the battery to verify that the light is functional. It will light up if the battery is good. Next -follow the red cable to the starter relay in the diagram. Where it attaches - check for power. With the key off. IT should be live without the key in. It's on standby in a way. If you do not have power at the other end of your positive cable - your cable is shot. If you do - then you will have someone turn the key and check to see if power is coming from the other post off the relay (that would go to the starter and make it engage - if the square standard fuse in that relay is not blown - but power is not coming through when you touch the key - it's probably the relay. Your safety switch among other things can prevent the engine from starting as well - along with loose cables and grounds (always do a thorough check of all wire connections and grounds - one loose ground can mean a nightmare sometimes) - if you give that a try and do not identify the culprit - just comment or reach out and I'll take you through the next steps. My polaris sportsman 570 will not start when I put the key and I have power to the lights on the dash but the engine will not turn over. I did turn it off in gear accidently.

If engine does not turn over you need to see if the starter is getting power and if it is any good. Also look for an inline safety switch for the starter that may be stuck in the open position and not allowing the electricity to enter the starter motor.

04 Polaris predator, I bought used last week. I put a new battery and new carb on it. It doesn't have power, won't start, and no spark with kick starter. Dead. Fuses, wires, look good. Any ideas

Did it have compression before you bought it?
No power to the electric starter? Then you probably have no power to the ignition system. I'd check battery connections. Is the battery going flat overnight? Some shorts. Is there an ignition with a key? Is the switch good? or all the connections good? Corrosion does some funny things. Fuses may look good but actually are not.

HOW TO FIX A 2006 BRUTE FORCE NO POWER WHEN TURN ON KEY

Check fuse link under the seat. Look for the main 30 amp fuse. Also, could have shorted wire in the key housing where the key goes into the ignition. Put ohm meter on and check for continuity. this will tell if there is a short in the wiring. Hope this narrows it down for you.

Won't crank

if battery is good, check to see if you have voltage at solenoid. if you do, turn key to start, that should throw the fire from other side of solenoid to starter. if there is no fire on the other side of solenoid when you turn the key, then your solenoid is most likely bad.
