If you are talking about the float bowl screws. Use a fine hacksaw and cut straight across the screw head, then you can use a flat blade screwdriver to remove after soaking with penetrating oil.
If you are talking about the idle or air mixture screws these sometimes have o rings and need a little air pressure to get them out.
