Could be many things do points open and close when engine rotates? are the high tension (electric cable to plug) in good condition? fit a new condenser to the points

Check the fuse on the starter solenoid .

Testimonial: "Thanks for your time. The fuse is ok. I can jump the yellow/orange wire at push button and solenoid will energize the starter. The only other thing I don't understand is the CDI unit. Everything else seems to check out. I am not getting any voltage at the starter button on handlebars."

u must always hav 12.6 v for a coil ignition--u cud hav hurt the alternator - the relay is burnt too probly - the spark area and wiring seems to hav issues--get a clymer manual for detaild engine work--cdi is capacitor discharge ign

Testimonial: "This happened once before and was taken to dealer. Rats had chewed some wires also. Looked at ticket and they put on a new wiring harness is all. I put all new relays in unit and didn't make any difference. There is something little that has me screwed up. Like a small ground wire or something to that nature. I do have 12.6 volts at coil. Where can I get a manual at? Thanks"
