Question about Polaris 2004 Sportsman 400
Replaced temperature sensor fan runs when sensor is disconnected
Could possibly be the cdi unit is overheating/going bad.

The temperature sensor completes a circut telling the fan to activate. The wire should be comming out of your fuse bank, going to the sensor then to the fan,and then back to a ground.Possibly back at the fuse bank. It sounds to me that your chasing the wrong wires,or possibly have one of your accessory wires plugged into the fan.Trace your wires carefully with an ohm meter.
