Question about ATVs
Starters are expensive! 9 times out of 10 the brushes just need to be cleaned and lightly oiled. THEY STICK!!!! Sounds like your taking the starter out any way so first take your battery charger put the black wire to a ground near or on the starter then touch the red to the started lead. if the starter kicks in and you have a charged battery you may need to change the selenoid. There should only be three bolts holding the starter on.If you do not feel comfortable removing them,then do not attempt to clean the brushes! Call a friend or a good back yard mechanic.Youll find it cheaper than a dealer!
