Arctic cat 500 2001 no fire on spark plug and

remove spark plug boot just unscrew it put the bare plug wire next to eng case and check fire if it sparks boot is bad. could be kill sw or coil no good (magneto)

If you've got decent compression, spark and fuel and it wont run - what about about air? Clean / new air filter installed? All 4 are needed to run.

change the plug and make sure you are getting a good spark.

guessing you changed the spark plug? .. you can fry the coil from heat...I used to wrap coils in rags when I tested them on a coil tester to try to make them break down from the heat quicker. It worked too.

if this has been sitting,,even if it hasn't, #1clean or replace the air filter, #2have the carb professionally cleaned and set, and #3 replace the spark plug.

vaccum leak ? hoses cracked at connector. intake manifold leaking ,cracked ?

spark plug, cap, cable, coil, pickup coil. get a service manual and test all of those to see if they're good.
