I need to see spec for 1962 honda atv carborator

probably a fuel line on the side and a vent on the top

double check your idle air screw turns, try adjusting your main needle up or down

Are you comfortably taking apart, cleaning and checking your carburetor? Got a lot of experience with the recons - cleaning that carb and checking it out is the #1 place I'd start. Remove the wires from the ATV. Clean the terminals..wire brush.. Charge slowly.. about 2 amps is max... like BBQ.. low and slow!

Now clean ALL the wires that attach to the battery. Use a stiff wire brush or fine cut file(what I use), then GREASE the wire ends and battery terminals when you reassemble. I little goes a long way. I like the terminal spray that Wal-Mart sells along with the terminal felt washers (small black spray can)

You can't. You must verify all other components in ignition system. If they are all in spec. You know it's cdi.

what do you mean by 'cleaned the entire engine out'?
you need fuel, air, compression and spark to run. start checking all of that first.
