You simply pulled apart a connection.. it could be all the way inside THE HEADLIGHT SHELL... but trust me YOU ACCIDENTALLY pulled loose a connection... see it quite a few times!! you should check--NO replace all fuses!!!!

My arctic cat 4X4 with a Mikuni BST 31 carb suddenly lost power and fouled the plug.New plug makes it start instantly and it runs great for 10 sec then fouls plug.Diaphram is good. Bowl not leaking

Pull the carb off and rebuild it, it either has a failed fuel inlet valve or a sticking float or a plugged jet from dirt in the fuel. If you are careful you can do this clean out with no new gaskets, use carb spray and compressed air. You may need a new fuel inlet "Needle Valve and seat". If you do find allot of contaminates in the float bowl you will need to clean the fuel tank and lines to the carb.

Yamaha Grizzley 600 1998. starts with pull start and runs well. The electric start turns the engine over, starts periodically, sounds like an intermittent electrical issue, any suggestions? Thx RB

pull the starter and have it bench tested
it appears to drawing excessive current and removing power from the ignition circuit
pulling on the cord doesn't have that current draw so it starts easily
have the battery load tested as it may not be capable of running starter and ignition

How do you check the electrical system for no spark or weak spark on polaris sportsman 500 HO

hi seth if you remove the spark plug from the cylinder head and rest it against the side of it against the cylinder head you should be able to see if it is firing while you crank the motor. otherwise a spark plug tester can be installed in place of the spark plug

I have a yerf dog utv. I bought not running. I took the carb off and found it was clogged up with stale gas & junk. I cleaned it several times, run wire thru jets, etc. drained tank & elect. pump,...

its prob a vacuum petcock, not a pump. they're a pita sometimes. you can rig them so they work all the time by opening them and fudging the valve (or buy a new one, cheap on ebay). choke should extend when it gets hot. you can test it with 12 volts. will extend and block the choke.
