Lol.. a lot of stuff, its just time consuming. ... not complex or hard.. if you have never done this, find someone that has done it more than 4-5 times - experience.. or pay to have it done

Polaris Sportsman 90 it bogs down/stalls. new carb. it will rev up in neutral. however when you put it in gear bike will only run for a few minutes and then stall or quit running. will restart .

Check the Flywheel key. It should be locked under the pull cord, where the stator is located. I will be a small piece of metal that slides into the spline from the engine and the stator. If it is worn the stator will rotate off the spline and the timing will be off, she won't start and if she does will be really rough and backfire, sputter and have power loss.

08 outlaw 90 no start clean carb run great 2 weeks cuts off few times start back then no start air cleaner bad clean crab no start plug drippin wet run 4 few gas hafe off

if the plug/s are wet , that is flooding and that is excessive fuel or float level , probably from a problem in the needle and seat area where the fuel supply is not being controlled
remove the needle and seat and clean all dirt and rubbish from the needle ans seat area
could come from rust and dirt in the tank so consider an inline fuel filter before the carby/s

What all can cause gas to run out the carb overflow line.

There is a bunch of things including, Hole in float, Dirty gas has left deposits on the needle and doesn't allow a complete shutoff, A damaged needle or seat, If carburetor has been taken off the float setting could be off, gas breaking down leaving a deposit on the needle or seat. Usually can be cured with a good cleaning and a new needle and seat. Check float to be sure it doesn't have a hole in it. If using 10% ETHANOL. fuel the fuel can be damaging your carburetor. I have had it eat a hole in the bottom of one of my carburetors so it does happen. I do not use ethanol fuel in any of my 4x4's anymore. May be more but good cleaning is needed.

Carb drain leaks?

This is caused by a bad needle and seat in the carb you can buy a carb kit and replace the needle and seat and it will stop leaking
make sure not to bend the float

I have a 2003 Sportsman 90. If you leave the gas turned on overnight, it will leak out a little on the floor. I have an 07 that doesn't leak. I know all I have to do is turn the gas off every time, but my...

Hi Dennis, Do you know where the gas leaked from?
With out knowing that answer it could be the shut off it's self or a needle and seat in the carb, Or a float that is defective or set incorrectly.

1996 Polaris Sportsman 400 Will Not Start

If your atv has been sitting this long, the carb is probably stopped up internally... take the carb to a qualified professional and have it cleaned and set...(take a few pictures so you know where all the hoses re-attach)

ALL it takes for an engine to run is:
1. A timed spark
2. Adequate compression
3. Proper fuel/air ratio delivered
