How to trouble shoot just the cdi unit on a yahama yfb250e--1993
Yfb250e is not in you list----no spark---plug good coil good---kill switch good----pickup coil good---all grounds good---is there a way to measure the out put of the wire at the coil from the cdi---the wire is not open---or grounded---it.s a mag---can the out put of pickup coil be measured ?----rich ---email@example.com

Standard issues could be your carb, your timing, or possible your cdi - the cdi is actually your 'igniter' - it's what sends the signal to your igniton coil - then to spark plug to fire. I always ask this, and please don't take offense - but what I've seen more than anything else is a bad ground, loose wire, pulled plug - check that thing from front to back for any loose cables or wires - and if everything checks out let me know and I can get you started on trouble shooting it - 7 out of 10 times I've had someone tell me this - it was a loose 'something'.
