Question about Arctic Cat 2009 550 H1 EFI 4x4

I have a 2009 artic cat 550 H1 Efi 4x4, it will keep stalling on me when it is idling and it seems to back fire a little when i let off the gas some times. I cleaned the spark arrestor, air filter, spark plug and charge the battery,

Dies out when you give it gas?


If fresh gas, you should check and replace the air filter (if needed) and remove and replace spark plug(s). Change the oil while you're at it (but this has little to cause the problem you're describing).

EFI symbol shows and quad won't idle runs fine when throtle engaged, what do I adjust to keep quad idoling and EFI symbol to stay off?


throttle position sensor bad ? map sensor equipped ? not sure on that model but be my starting point. not sure if adjustable idle ? efi . does all that i think. read owners manual and see if they use injector cleaner of any kind. pressure regulator can cause this too. wish i could help you more. i need go back to school on that one. sorry please let me know what you find thanks

remove both battery cables from battery and touch them together for 1 min. should do it. if efi is out and comes right back on after starting you got efi problems

spark @ plug ? gas to eng ? compression in eng? will run if you have all these. adjusted properly !!! what do you have or dont have ?

if your battery is not taking a charge, its shot. dead cells. go to chromebattery.com, they have good prices on replacement batts and offer free shipping.
