If your air filter is clean then I'd check the float and float height in the carb

Polaris ranger 700 efi runs great in neutral bogs down at 20mph

Run some Sea Foam in the gas it will clean the carb sounds like a sticky jet or dirty carb the Sea Foam will clean the carb of any residue or deposits that have built up in the carb over time causing it to malfunction you can get the Sea Foam at most parts stores and its cheap stuff and works awesome.

2001 Sportsman 500. Where can I get a wiring diagram?

I'm attaching a picture that has 2 wiring diagrams side by side. The left side is the 2000 Polaris Sportsman 500 (Early) wiring diagram and the right side is the 2000 Polaris Sportsman 500 (Late). The Late wiring diagram for 2000 is more than likely either the same or extremely close to the 2001. And they may have just carried it over (the late wiring diagram). I've got a lot of hours on ATV's and Polaris especially - they stuck with what worked and didn't reinvent the wheel from one year to the next (usually). This may not be exact - but it should be extremely close. Hope this helps. Good Luck.

All The Best, Justin Lee

I have a 2006 Polaris Phoenix 200. It idles and runs but bogs when I give it has and will not go?

clean the carburettor out.might be a blocked jet in there where the fuel passes through..it only takes a tiny piece of dirt to stop good gas flow.there sould be 2 jets in the carb, and they are usually made of brass.1 jet (for engine idle and low speed).the other is for when more power required.

Polaris troubleshooting

Sounds like a carb issue...make sure you have fresh ,clean gas.You havent got water in your carb/tank have you? I would start by taking the carb apart and give it a really good clean.Check all jets and orifices.Another words, take apart anything in the carb that you can, clean and replace.

I HAVE A 1999 POLARIS 335 SPORTSMAN STARTS FINE WHEN I TRY TO ACCELERATE THE QUAD BOGS FEELS LIKE ITS GOING TO STALL BUT THEN GOES BUT NOT AT FULL POWER AFTER RELEASING GAS THERE IS A LOUD BACKFIRE ...

carbon on the plugs indicates flooding
the backfire indicates fuel being ignited in the exhaust
have the carby /fuel system professionally overhauled
