Brake light stays on

Leslie, Check rear brake connection, pull down on the rear spring to turn the brake light on and off..repeat until it gets worked out..you can spray some light oil/WD40 on it to help clean it out. Could also be a faulty switch, which will need replaced. Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

2001 Sportsman 500. Where can I get a wiring diagram?

I'm attaching a picture that has 2 wiring diagrams side by side. The left side is the 2000 Polaris Sportsman 500 (Early) wiring diagram and the right side is the 2000 Polaris Sportsman 500 (Late). The Late wiring diagram for 2000 is more than likely either the same or extremely close to the 2001. And they may have just carried it over (the late wiring diagram). I've got a lot of hours on ATV's and Polaris especially - they stuck with what worked and didn't reinvent the wheel from one year to the next (usually). This may not be exact - but it should be extremely close. Hope this helps. Good Luck.

After a winter of light snow plowing my 700 2010 grizzly seems to want to keep going when I apply the brake. Wondering what this may be?

brakes might be out of adjustment or no pads left. you been riding in water ? dirt will get on the brakes and wear the pads out fast especially if it sandy ? pull the tires and check the pads and see if you have any left left, if so, adjust them. you can get a manual on adjusting brakes on yamahas online.

Disc or drum? If they are drum, you let them wear out and they have expanded wider than the inside of the brake hub. If you cannot retract the shoes you are going to have to totally disassemble the entire left side, including brake system. Clamp the brake line off with long nose vise-grips. Then carefully start disassembly.

If they are disc, the piston is stuck, Same process, more complicated to properly successfully repair! I have had some real tough ones over the years!!

Think about a professional?? Unless you live in North Alabama.

Why wont my rubica 4 wheeler go in reversa

If you have a Honda Rubicon, you must place the transmission in Neutral, then pull in Left Hand brake and push down Reverse knob that will remove the reverse lockout and allow you to shift it into reverse. If that doesn't work your reverse lockout knob might be defective or out of adjustment. The adjuster, depending on which model you have, will be on one end of the reverse lockout cable.
