Find the short and fix it. Try wiring a 12 volt bulb in place of the fuse. It will light when there is a short and allow you to work on finding the cause. Replacing the fuse will only last a fraction of a second so you can't do any diagnosis that way.

The led readout display does not display anymore. the fuses check fine cable and plug adapters look fine. what else is there to look at to fix?

Jeff, Recheck fuses/relays, probe dash wire to see if you are getting power up to dash, if not then fuse or wire broke. If you are getting power into dash then display is faulty and needs repaired or replaced. Check the attached links,Manuals and guides, Good luck with your Bike

How do i fix a stater for a atv

Usually you need to replace the regulator/rectifier & stator at the same time. Why? Your stator puts out 220-240 v ac current. enough to power an electric dryer. That is turned into about 15v dc current for the battery. What usually happens in ATV's is the electrical connectors are lousy and fail. This burns out one or both units. Motor sport mechanics are well aware of this so to avoid retesting and chasing shorts that come and go they replace the whole thing so they don't have people coming back for warranty work. You can find after market parts online for much less than you can buy at motor sports retailers. A few hundred vs a thousand plus. Don't forget the gasket under the housing when you get at the stator. You can't avoid the dealer price on the gasket.

What would cause my yfz 450 not too have any electric power at all, no lights come on , tried to jump the selanoid n all it does is crank over but doesnt it start??? Any idea why or what the problem is???

There is a good possibility that your main fuse is blown. The main fuse is located on the solenoid. There also should be a spare fuse that is stored on the solenoid, however, if it's blown, something has shorted to cause this, and needs to be found. An important note, if the battery has been hooked up with the polarity reversed, that will blow the main fuse.

There's also a possibility of a bad connection at that fuse, or in the plug that connects the solenoid to the harness. If this is the case, it would just need a little cleaning, or replacement of the whole solenoid.

HOW TO FIX A 2006 BRUTE FORCE NO POWER WHEN TURN ON KEY

Check fuse link under the seat. Look for the main 30 amp fuse. Also, could have shorted wire in the key housing where the key goes into the ignition. Put ohm meter on and check for continuity. this will tell if there is a short in the wiring. Hope this narrows it down for you.

What would make the fuse under the seat keep blowing

There has to be a short in the line somewhere in order for the fuse to constantly blow. A wire has rubbed against some steel and is causing the fuse to blow. trace the fuse to the link....such as the lights or rear light and check the socket or wiring for a short.

2010 polaris 550 xp blows fuse when 4x4 is activated any suggestions on how to fix this

Check to make sure the proper rated fuse is installed. If so, then sounds like you have a dead short and I'm not a Polaris or electrical expert to really show how to troubleshoot that far into it. Good luck!

2005 suzuki hayabusa want start not getting juice even after completing charge no lights at all

is it a carb or fuel injected? sounds like the fuel pump or filter(s). if this is electrical 'juice' then i would check your coils, spark plugs and wires. your starter switch could be bad (very common), your wire(s) in the starting circuit could be shorted somewhere. your starter could be stuck which will pull too much current to start but lights would come on if that was the problem. i'm sticking with the starter switch where the key is first then the fuses.
