Question about Polaris ATV
I have a hard starting engine and am wondering if 90psi for my compression is the cause. I seem to have good spark and fuel. I put in new plug and new fuel and cleaned the carb thouroughly so we can rule those out. Any suggestions are more than welcome thanks
The fuel could be good but still it wont spit check the carbs when you throttle or kick start if thats possible if that is good try some starting fluid it should start up and the fuel pump should get out the obstruction if theres more problems it is one of many things either bad fuel pump, your fuel line is disconnected, blown headgasket idk the psi specs for the 250 but that sounds good i know for the 550s its around 120 and so on

If you have oil and gas and it will fire then try a new plug. A bad plug when removed will appear to be fine but under compression can fail.
Also try a splash of good gas in the throat of the carb or intake (if fuel injected) with a new spark plug. My bet is it fires just fine.
If this is a fuel injector type engine you could have a bad injector control unit or a clogged injector.
If it fires with gas in the intake manifold then suspect carb or injector system. (which ever applies)
Thanks for using FixYa!

remove the carb flip it over and remove the bowl remove the small pilot jet that is recessed in the hole and clean it good . the pilot jet controls the idle circiut adjust the air screw on the carb to 1.5 turns out as a starting point
