Fan on polaris 500 stays on a guage reads hot off and on-whats up

Fan on polaris 500 stays on all of the time and guage reads hot-What do you tink is wrong? Please help.

I have the same issue on my 2000 350 sportsman. Fan is on all the time but I don't think the engine is hot. I don't have a gauge to go by.

Check the coolant level and replace the rad cap

Do you take the rad guard off when washing rad out, if not your not getting your rad clean enough.

My screen flashes and reads HOT. The fan is on all the time. The only way to get the fan to turn off is to disconnect the battery. Is it the ECM Module?

Getting hot fan not coming on when needed times it does and it stays cool times it don't and it gets hot and have to shut it off wait a little bit I've change the thermo and sens

Sounds like the fan motor is bad. If there is power to it, It should work all the time. Maybe you can oil it to see if this works. God-Bless!

2011 Polaris Rzr ranger there is a fuse in line under the floor pan below the battery that gets corroded on the main wiring harness removed and relocated above the backseat try that you could buy one at Napa for under $10 try it I had the same problem with mine good luck

I have a 2001 polaris sportsman 500 H.O. I have replaced the fan and the thermial fan switch,and checked the thermostat. Everything is either new or works there are no bubles in the coolant when its running I am running out of opptions . If I unplug the thermal fan switch and plug a jumper wire in the fan will run. I thought the new switch was bad and I tested it and it is good

Does the cooling fan ever run when the engine is hot? If not, you may have a problem with the fan thermostat.

For the record, spray carburetor cleaner does no good if it's sprayed on the outside of the carburetor with the engine running. That's not what it's for.
