If you have changed your thermostat then i would check and see if your hoses are not pinched also see if your radiator is plugged so it does not flow properly. Is there a water pump that needs replacing. I am not sure what all is involved but a few things to look at.
First off be careful because you will be working under your vehicle.
Check your linkages, fittings, bolts (that none are missing), and splines.
Obtain a new gasket and gear oil then drain and remove the inspection cover (s). Check that the gears, splines, bushings, bearings, etc. are good and intact.
Check oil sump areas for fragments or broken parts.
My guess something inside the transfer case has snapped but you never know could be something that came loose.
hi.
this is all i can find on the internet about it. Where to find serial number on Polaris Ranger?
Whenever corresponding about a Polaris RANGER utility vehicle, be sure to refer to the vehicle identification number (VIN) and the engine model number and serial number. The VIN can be found stamped on the lower frame rail on the front LH side of the vehicle (see Figure 1-1).
when changing oil usually you change the oil filter and there is a drain plug for the oil to out...i don't know bout the reservoir your talking about,,
Based on information provided I would start with just checking the basics as far as servicing goes, starting with air filter, is it clean, and is there anything preventing it from breathing easily. Check the accelerator cabling, might be dry, stuck or mucky somewhere from pedal to carburetor that can cause similar problems. Check oil level of motor as well.. Hope this helps
