when i bought my polaris, i asked where the fuses were at and he told me that there are not any fuses. He did say that there are some fuseable links somewhere.

I have one of these and it always throws my friends for a loop. You have to push the foot brake to get the bike in park or high. It should shift very easy with the brake down, if not check if the spring didn't come off of your brake pedal. I hope this helped.

The same oil you use for the engine ie a 4 stroke motor bike engine oil that is formulated for both lubrication of engine and gearbox. Readily available. use a reputable brand and you do pay for what you get.
Do not use normal gear box oil

Sound like the needle and seat are dirty. Also check the fuel strainer / filter for debris. Usually if the needle and seat are dirty so is the filter / strainer & bowl.
Needle and seat item(s) 24 and 24 original factory Parts manual under carb. at the dealer:
(called float valve in description)
Sounds like the float valve is either not closing or is dirty and not allowing carb to fill to the proper level. i.e causes fuel starvation AND carb over filling intermittently. You can clean the needle and still have a bad seat for the needle.
Find and replace or clean the fuel filter also. If your carb has a manifold and nut on the side of it for the fuel manifold remove the nut (actually a bolt type thing) and clean the strainer inside the manifold.
Thanks for using FixYa!
