I have 2005 500 suzuki atv

The muffler turns cherry red. i have try to adjust carb but no luck.

Could be flooding. That usually only occurs when you have excess fuel lighting off in the exhaust. I have seen it happen on cars when the timing is way off. I would pull the carb and check the float level and replace the float valve.

High Idle when we get the 70cc ATV running

Pilot jet may be t o small or your air screw isn't adjusted right try turning the air screw in all the way then turn out 1full turn test and adjust until it runs good if that doesn't fix it the pilot jet will need to be cleaned or brought up one size hope this will help you good luck

Cherry red exhaust and back firing through carb

sounds like your ignition timing is too far advanced allowing the petrol / air mix to part ignite in exhaust.

Carb on ATV

your going to have to adjust the throttle pin that goes down into the carb.It has a few notches on the needle when you take the assembly off take the clip off the notch its on and bring it down one notch should fix problem if not go down another until you hit the sweet spot.good luck

when engines not running turn the gas off . And it sounds like you need to adjust your throttle pin that goes into the carb take the clip off the pin and move it down one good luck
