Question about RTO Quads 125cc Full Size Adult 4 Wheelers ATV
The shop just called and said they replaced the CDI unit and the battery. The battery was purchased 3 months ago from Interstate. We initially thought the battery was bad bc the quad didn't run. It still didn't run so we took it in. Now they said they replace the battery again. Can the CDI unit kill a new battery? Interstate has a 6 mo warranty.
I wouldnt think so unless it has the voltage regulator built into it and I've never seen that.

The spark plug is located on the cylinder head of the engine. Look for a really thick wire from the ignition coil. The plug is on the other end. Your plug, if a four stroke engine, is a CR7HSA, which takes a 5/8 deep well socket to remove. The CDI is a black box, sometimes in the battery box, most often under the seat bucket after its removed.
