Question about Polaris ATV

Open Question

My 2005 polaris 700 twin has no power to speedometer and awd does not work. replaced ecm, checked for loose connections, what now?

Replaced battery, replaced ecm, replaced speedo, winch also does not work but I think this may be unrelated (contactor?) All headlights work, engine runs fine. Don't know where to go from here.

I have power coming out of the main connector that goes to the speedo, red white wire has 12 volts, some others have 4-6 volts. Could the wheel speed sensor be the problem? When running an ohm meter from red wire to black wire on speed sensor plug, I am getting a 4.4 resistance reading.

From my research, I should have at least backlighting and/or limited display on LCD screen of speedo, Maybe the used speedo I bought is trashed too.

I Found It!!! The #1 wire going into the speedo harness had no voltage. I traced it down to the bottom of the handlebars and back up to where it powers the 12v accessory plug. There was a break between the accessory plug and the handlebar neck. This was the wire that I spliced into for my winch switch also, so everything works great now.

SOURCE: 2005 Polaris 700 sportsman 4x4 gets warm, looses power?

My 2005 700 efi is doing the same thing. So far I have found that the engine and exhaust get so hot that the fuel starts to boil and causes the fuel pump to vapor lock. I taped up the tank with some reflective tape/insulator stuff and now I'm trying to figure out why its running so hot.(The exhaust manifold glows red hot) I've cleaned the radiator and flushed the system. I just need to check the water pump and thermostat. Any other suggestions?

SOURCE: overheating polaris sportsman 700

you probly need a new heat sensor, its located on the bottom right of your rad, i had the same problem with my 700 the fan only worked when it was already over heating, i cut the wires flush at the sensor drilled a hole above the key switch and mounted a toggle switch, no more over heating,

If motor has to constantly charge a battery while running, it could use a bit more fuel.
