Hey Scott... this sounds a little serious.. 1. will it start? 2. does it make bad noises when it does start? If it will not start, and makes bad noises when you try to start it, this is a serious issue. It time for a professional to look at it. Please keep me posted. Thanks

First be sure to check oil level if you haven't. Many have a low level shut off switch. If the level of oil gets below a certain point it can shut off. Just a thought.

Thats not much info but ck the fuel supply and or coil.

If the shocks are worn out, get off the machine and lift up on the back rack. This takes up the slop between the shifter box and the transmission, and usually allows me to shift. I also had an issue with the thin steel plate behind the shifter box. Got a crack in the top , so it was flexing, creating more slop. Welded it shut, good as new.
