STOP holding the starter button down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.. Its NOT really running..
My first guess is the starter needs some TLC..a professional rebuild..they are not hard to do.
Diagnosing electrical issues over the internet is hard... I will think on this some more and repost if I come up with anything..sorry..

probably you have some worn parts in the carb.a rebuild kit would likely help.befofore you do that, you might try adjusting the air screw on the carb and check for air leaks where the carb connects to the cylinder head.

That is equivalent to a "Check Engine" light, meaning that a condition exists which requires attention. Check all fluid levels, and readout codes from the ECU as a starting point for diagnosis.

Yes it is a low oil sensor / switch. It could be faulty, but it can be bypassed by disconnecting it. I would check all of your wire connections from your stator to your ignition switch..

take the choke out of the carb using a 14mm wrench. The choke is a plunger held into the front of the carb by a plastic nut. Lubricate it and put it back. Be careful not to overtighten the plastic nut.

Disconnect the battery. Take out the air box. The starter is under the air box and is bolted on with three bolts.

Could be the shifter solenoid. but most likely it's in the section where the shifter cable goes into. There is also 2 sensors on the top of it one forward and one reverse . I do believe that unit has a manual post coming out of the lower side of the engine on the left side when sitting on it. Put a socket on it and see if the bike will shift manually. If not then it's either the section with the 2 sensors on it or the mechanism inteernally itself.

There is an on line forum for the Honda 350 fourtrax. They discuss this problem at great length and recommend everything from using the choke and primer, replacing the spark plug with a hotter one for cold weather, to adjusting the valves to factory specifications, and rebuilding the carburetor. Hope that will be helpful.

you need to remove the bolts and then it should come off... you might have to GENTLY tap with a RUBBER hammer..the magnetic attraction between the rotor and stator may make it a little harder.. >> pull straight off<<<
